The conduction of the two organizations is a particularly important event for the city of Thessaloniki. With the cooperation of all Institutional and Voluntary Support Bodies we will manage, even in this unfavorable situation, to give joy, color and optimism to the citizens, but also to the whole country.

The Organizing Committee of both organizations promises to organize two high quality events, but always with the overriding concern that it is not going to put at  risk the participants’ health and consequently the public health. After all, only in case of local lockdown the events will be postponed, always with the cooperation of the responsible health authorities and Institutional Support Bodies.

The half marathon race of the 9th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon-ZeniΘ will be held on Saturday, November 14th and the 5km Heath and Power Walking Race of the 9th International Thessaloniki Night Half Marathon-ZeniΘ will be held on Sunday, November 15th. The 10km Health and Power Walking Race of the 15th International Marathon “Alexander The Great” – bwin will be conducted on Saturday, November 28th and the Marathon Race as well as the 5km Health and Power Walking Race of the 15th International Marathon “Alexander The Great”– bwin will be conducted on Sunday, November 29th. Both routes, (Marathon and 5km) will not coincide except for the finish area on Nikis Avenue, as the participants will run in different lanes.

According to the new health protocol, the maximum number of participants per race of each organization is 1000 runners. Only registered and paid entries will be allowed to enter till the  maximum number of  participants is reached. Groups of only 50 participants per block will be allowed to start the race and the required distances should be kept. The complete implementation of all required sanitary rules of the relevant authorities is an obligation for all of us in order to avoid the spread of COVID – 19.

The primary goal of both organizations is to encourage everyone to adopt a healthy way of life which ultimately leads to the improvement of physical and mental health and generally, the quality of our lives.
